The Distinguished Members of The Meat Industry Hall of Fame
We have had the privilege of inducting eight classes – 2009 through 2016 – of the most accomplished people in the meat and poultry business. As a group, they have contributed greatly to our industry as well as serve the needs of the public. We’ve often been asked for a complete list. Here it is:
Dave Thomas (1932–2002)
Founder and CEO, Wendy’s Old Fashioned Hamburgers (posthumous)
President, National Chicken Council (retired)
Donald L. Houston (1934–1988)
Administrator, Food Safety and Inspection Service (1979-1987)
